Intensive Russian Strikes Cut Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles targeted energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the city endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The strikes come after periods of air raids in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were bracing for more assaults.
